Venture north out of Wellington and you’ll reach Peka Peka, home of the breathtaking wedding venue Sudbury. Hold your ceremony outdoors under the pergola, or inside the Hay Barn if preferred. Then with your reception inside the Stables, dancing under the stars and honeymoon accommodation onsite, how could you do better? Well, we forgot to mention that while you are having photos taken, your guests can enjoy a range of organised activities!

Brackenridge Country Retreat & Spa
Martinborough, Wairarapa
Martinborough’s Brackenridge Country Retreat and Spa is the perfect reception venue for your upcoming nuptials. Just over the hill from Wellington, this wedding venue is suitable for up to 120 guests during the day, and 64 sleeping at night! There’s even a day spa, lap pool and gym onsite, making this a great full wedding package for couples.
Tarureka Estate
Featherston, Wairarapa
Located in the peaceful Wairarapa, Tarureka Estate offers the opportunity to get married and celebrate their wedding at one amazing venue. With both indoor and outdoor ceremony options for Loft Barn, one of the oldest barns in NZ, along with accommodation at the Homestead, why would you go anywhere else?
Wellington Racing Club Wedding & Event Centre
Trentham, Upper Hutt
With a proud history and plenty of event experiences, Wellington Racing Club can offer couples the reception venue of their dreams! Suitable for weddings with up to 400 guests, you can choose for your reception whether you use one of the many well-appointed rooms, or a silk lined marquee in the historic grounds. One of Wellington’s most popular wedding ceremony and reception venues, you’ll enjoy exclusive access from 11 am on the day of hire through to 10 am the following day to collect any belongings or hired items. This harbourside venue must be seen to be believed.
