Media Naranja

Celebrating you and your Media Naranja (your half orange). Speaking both French and Spanish, my inspiration for Media Naranja is poignant. In Spanish, it literally means “my half orange” or “my soul mate”. I was brought up in Scotland but found my way to this beautiful country 23 years ago as a fresh-faced high school teacher. New Zealand is most definitely my home and I enjoy nothing more than spending time with family, walking the beaches, relishing local festivals and savouring fine food. Whilst New Zealand is where I lay my hat, my life has been filled to the brim with world travel and adventures.

I continue to travel extensively as much as possible. My globe trotting means that I have huge respect for all ceremonies, beliefs, cultures and traditions. I’ve been lucky enough to attend several marriage ceremonies in far-flung corners of the world.

A true romantic, frequently revelling in the works of romantic novelists, my journey towards becoming a marriage celebrant began as a result of being passionate about honouring life events.

Every story is different. The evolution of every relationship is different and thus, every ceremony is different. My education background coupled with running a small business, allows me to bring you professionalism, an ability to connect with others, enthusiasm and a sense of humor.

I will offer suggestions of support whilst guiding you to ensure your ceremony truly reflects your wishes and your journey. It would be an honour to be a part of your personalised ceremony.
