Broadoak Gardens is a stunning and unique events venue that will transport you to the English countryside. Situated just north of Christchurch, we work with you in making your day perfect.

Owned by husband and wife Shaun and Claire, we make sure to do our utmost to exceed your expectations. From weddings to birthdays, our affordable rates and add-on options make Broadoak a venue for any occasion.

Broadoak is situated in Ohoka, 20 minutes north of Christchurch and is listed with the NZ Gardens Trust and Gardens to Visit NZ. The 2-acre English Garden set within a 10-acre lifestyle farm inspired by the great garden estates of England, Broadoak is recognised by the NZ Gardens Trust as a garden of significance and is awarded a 4-star rating. The large gardens consist of formal English Gardens and recently planted native gardens which boast various sculptures by well-known artists.

Visitors can meander through the various garden rooms and admire the topiary, mosaic ponds, English formal gardens, native and farm-style scenery. This provides a superb location for your wedding photographer to obtain those perfect shots while guests are happily entertained in our own genuine Ole English Pub, The ‘Bike n Bovine’. Our venue has all-weather paths and parking and is suitable for wheelchair users. Maximum of 80 guests plus the wedding party.

Accommodation is also available. The modern two-bedroom self-contained “Cottage” provides a unique and tranquil accommodation option for the bridal party to prepare for their wedding day and the Bride and Groom on their special wedding night. Our new on-site Eco cabin village offers additional accommodation for up to 6 guests, perfect for the groomsmen to get ready in or for out-of-town guests.
