Capturing Moments Photography

Covering Waikato & Bay of Plenty Weddings

About me...

Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to be a photographer. I wanted to be a wedding photographer, a photographer of people, families & love! However I put my passion for Photography and Weddings aside, because everyone was doing it – I would never make a career out of it, there’s just too much competition. I took up a career in Teaching – Early Childhood (and a bit of Primary!), where I spent 15 years teaching and being taught by children. In 2019, I had the opportunity to take up Photography as a full time job, with the support of my amazing family, I jumped in with everything I had and I haven’t looked back! I consider myself very lucky, and blessed to be able to do what I love doing! As a photographer, I have a passion to get people in photo’s! I believe memories and reminders are so important. I personally hate being in photo’s, and until recently I’ve avoided them like the plague! I came to realise that in this crazy world, stuff happens, unfortunate things happen – and what are our children and families left with if something happens to us? What memories and reminders do they have? We need photo’s, we need captured memories and moments, now and for future generations! So stop trying to lose that last kg, trying to find the perfect outfit, waiting for that pimple to heal, cos none of that matter’s! Your families see you as beautiful the way you are – and they want to remember the fun moments and have something to look back on for years to come!

Photographs are priceless memories and reminders, invest in them
