Nestled discreetly in Invercargill, Hawthorne Gardens’ beautiful vistas and spaces will charm you and your guests.

Our lovely gardens give you plenty of choice about the kind of feeling you want to create for your garden wedding.

Set in a generous five acres, Hawthorne Gardens’ delightfully picturesque garden ‘rooms’ provide the perfect ambience for your garden wedding celebration or special event. They are what make Hawthorne Gardens that extra special outdoor venue.

Magnificent wooded areas, gentle open spaces, a unique ‘umbrella’ garden, a beautiful formal rose garden, quiet seating areas, secret pathways and a tranquil duck pond with a water wheel, jetty and bridge, all are intimate spaces for a romantic ceremony and celebration.

The garden is also home to a number of native birds including tui and bellbirds.

Should the weather be unkind, there’s a purpose-built indoor space complete with kitchen and bar facilities that cater for up to 150 guests and seating space for up 110 guests. There’s ample parking areas for the bridal party and guests and easy access to the gardens from these facilities.

Hawthorne Gardens is wheelchair friendly.
