The church provides an Anglican presence in the Pukekohe area. It is part of the Diocese of Auckland and the Province of Aotearoa, Polynesia and New Zealand. As such we come directly under the authority of the Bishop of Auckland.
Built in 1931, St Andrew’s Church is the oldest Anglican church in Pukekohe. It seats about 150 people, has a full sound system, heated pews, digital projector and off-street parking. The church’s red-brick exterior is surrounded by gardens and large chestnut trees, making it especially attractive in spring and summer. The large parish lawn is also available for wedding ceremonies or receptions. It is bordered by several mature oak and holly trees, white roses and other decorative planting.
The light and spacious church hall is an ideal reception venue. It has a well-equipped kitchen with commercial oven and dishwasher. A lounge at the rear is perfect for serving food, taking indoor family photographs or as a quiet retreat. Adjoining courtyards, securely fenced, provide a safe area for young children and an additional area for guests to mingle while awaiting the bride and groom.
As parish vicar, Jan is an experienced, open and welcoming marriage celebrant. She enjoys helping couples make their special day unique to them while incorporating the necessary legal elements. Jan is very happy to conduct services in the church or elsewhere.
St Andrew’s team of flower arrangers may be hired for weddings in the church. They are an ideal choice for couples looking to book St Andrew’s as they are already familiar with the church.
