Celia (CeCe) James Celebrant

As a celebrant, I find immense joy in connecting with diverse individuals and sharing their beautiful stories. Specializing in marriages since 2018, I've been married for 30 years to a sheep and beef high country farmer, residing in a tranquil corner near Whitecliffs. Despite the busyness of farming life, I cherish each day, grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our country’s well-being.

With an empty nest, I now have the freedom to travel around the region, meeting wonderful people and providing celebratory services. My three supportive children and even my elderly mother have played roles in connecting me with clients.

I'm open to travelling throughout Canterbury and beyond, exploring stunning wedding locations, especially in rural areas. Whether it’s a rustic tussock hill or a remote location accessible only by a dusty gravel road, I enthusiastically navigate the miles to celebrate my clients' memorable day.

Clients can bring forth any suggestions, and I'm open to tailoring ceremonies to be as serious or amusing as they desire. While I have a love for drama and writing, it’s the clients' stories that truly captivate me. As a celebrant, I consider it a privilege to be a part of the beginning of a special relationship with my clients, expressing creativity and respect for the institution of marriage and other significant family celebrations.
